Privacy policy

What data First Bank Abroad processes, why, for how long, who helps us and your rights under the GDPR.

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use firstbankabroad.com and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect as little as we can: there are no accounts, no comment forms, no newsletters and no advertising trackers on this site.

Who is responsible

The controller of personal data on this site is the operator of firstbankabroad.com. You can reach us about any privacy question at [email protected].

What we process and why

Cookies and local storage

This site does not set cookies for visitors. Your language choice is part of the page address. If you close the hint that suggests another country, your browser remembers that in its local storage so the hint does not come back; this stays on your device and is never sent to us. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain, except the statistics script, which is served from our own analytics server.

Who helps us

The site runs on servers rented from Google Cloud and is delivered through Cloudflare, which also protects it from attacks. Both process technical data on our behalf under their data processing terms. These companies may process data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers rely on the safeguards described in their terms, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep data

Statistics are kept in aggregated, anonymous form. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the site. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with the request and to keep a record of corrections.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the UODO in Poland, the data protection authority of your federal state in Germany or the ÚOOÚ in Czechia.

Changes

If we change how we process data, we will update this page and the date at the top. See also our terms of use.
